
Mission Statement
Master’s Table Community Meals, Inc. provides a safe, clean, uplifting environment for individuals in need. We offer our guests hope for a better future. Every person who comes to us for assistance is welcomed regardless of race, sex, age, color, national origin, religious preference, social needs (disability) or income. Master’s Table serves the poor, hungry, and the lonely by providing healthy nutritious and appetizing meals to all who come to us.
Our Programs
Community Meals
Each month, Master’s Table holds two community meals at Assumption Church Hall, 61 North Cliff Street, Ansonia. Take-out meals are available for pickup in the hall or by drive-up.
Food2Kids
The mission of this program is to feed school children who have little or no food resources when they are away from school. Our goal is to provide this program to all of Ansonia grammar and middle schools. Started in September 2022.
Emergency Food Bank
Master’s Table operates an Emergency Food Bank for individuals and families in need.

Executive Director: James Fedak
I am the co-founder of Master’s Table Community Meals, Inc. I enjoy the inter-action and seeing our guests at our meals. I want to make a difference is a phrase that I live by. I am happily married to Janette and have a dog named Molly. I am a manager at a local foodbank. Master’s Table has made me a better person, and I have developed some long-lasting friendships. I thank God for this opportunity to serve others and help them whenever I can.
Our Board

Board Chair: Arlene Greco
I am the Chair of Master’s Table Community Meals Board of Directors. I am a retired Director of Development with 35 years working in the non-profit field with the last 25 serving on a management team and/or as the chief fundraising executive. I am a former president of the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club and a recipient of the 2018 Women Making a Difference in the Valley Award. In addition to my volunteer work at Master’s Table, I recently became a Member of the Berlin Commission for the Aging. I am married to Thomas Greco, Associate Pastor of Living Springs Christian Fellowship and has three married children, six grandchildren and two German Shorthaired Pointer rescues.

Vice Chair: Janette Fedak
I am co-founder of Master’s Table Community Meals and Ansonia Food to Kids. I am currently serving on the board as the Vice Chairperson and Chef. I work full time for a local bank for 25 years. Jim and I have been together since 1998 and married since 2007. We have a beautiful chihuahua named Molly. My passions are animals, volunteering and cooking.

Treasurer: Steven Fine
I am currently the Treasurer of Master’s Table Community Meals. I am a retired chemist who worked for LATICRETE INTERNATIONAL in Bethany CT for 35 years. I am also Treasurer of the New Haven Section of the American Chemical Society and an Associate Member of the American Chemical Society Committee of Chemists with Disabilities. I am on the Building and Grounds Committee of Temple Emanual of Greater New Haven. During my career, I was Secretary/Treasurer of the Materials & Methods Standards Association, a member of American National Standards Association Committee A108 and International Standards Organization Committee 13007. I am married to a retired middle school teacher and have three grown children

Secretary: Lisa Hurlbert
I’ve been volunteering with Master’s Table since 2019. After retiring from a career in banking
and project management, I joined the board as Secretary in 2022 and have also taken on the unofficial role
of fundraising chair. My husband Dan and I live in the Valley. We have three children, two currently in college and
an adult child who has blessed us with two wonderful grandchildren.

Board Member: George Habrecht
I joined the Master’s Table board in 2024, bringing with me a strong commitment to community service and a passion for supporting the organization’s mission. I have previously served two terms on the board of the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, and helped advance hunger relief efforts in the region. A Shelton resident, I am a Manager of Talent Acquisition with expertise in recruiting for both technical and business roles. Outside of my professional and volunteer work, I enjoy spending time with his wife and two children. I am an avid chess and poker player.

Board Member: Tara Shepherd
I have been volunteering with Master’s table for the past three years. I joined the board in 2024. I have over 15 years of nonprofit experience primarily in development, grants management, accounting and database management. I am also the director of accounting at Sandy Hook Promise Foundation where I have worked since 2019. I have previously served as treasurer and as a member at large with Blind Dog Rescue Alliance and as PTA treasurer for my son’s school. I am married and have a teenage
son.

Board Member: Vincent LaRocca
I was the self-employed owner and president of a CT based Food service and catering Business. I am now retired and live in Milford, CT. I have served as a Board Member of Master’s Table from 2011 till present. It has been my honor to have been the Head Chef for Masters Table during the early years until 2024.
